Blessed Sacrament Exposition

Watching before the blessed sacrament exposed is a great custom we have at St. Kentigern's each day from 2-4pm. Please try and keep a tryst with the Lord and commit yourself to doing a half hour slot on the same day each week.

Catholic Singles

Single, separated, widowed or divorced?

Catholic Singles is an organisation which aims to help practising Catholics meet other Catholics and support Catholic Parishes and Charities. It does this by providing an optional, strictly confidential service, sending members a monthly bulletin, which includes brief personal descriptions of themselves, if they wish, and also advertising social events organised by Catholic parishes and organisations free of charge.

We advertise in The Universe, The Catholic Times and The Catholic Herald, in most diocesan newspapers, and in parishes around the country and are non profit-making, with the £10 annual membership fee and initial donation going towards operating costs. All members receive our monthly bulletin called Catholic Networking. The membership itself is growing daily, and we are now the biggest Catholic singles group of its kind in the country, as far as we know. We organise social events, as well as providing a facility which allows members to meet on a one-to-one basis if they wish.

For free information, with no obligation, please contact James Judge on 0161 941 3498, , or visit the Catholic Singles Web Site.

Lectio Divina

(Prayerful reflection on the Sunday readings). Run by Fr. Flynn Every Thursday at 7:30pm. St. Edwards Parish Hall, 13 Thurloe Street, Rusholme, Manchester M14 5SG.

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults)

RCIA sessions are available within the parish. If you are interested in learning more about the Catholic faith, please see one of the clergy, or contact Pauline Emberson on 07787 137777.

Theology Discussion Group

A theology discussion group has been continuing since September. The idea is that participants take it in turns to prepare a short question of a theological or philosophical nature for discussion by the group. It is usually held at 7:00pm in St. Edwards Hall. Please see Fr. Flynn or Pilar for more information.

Loreto High School, Chorlton

St Thomas Aquinas was totally re-structured and has many new staff and new roles and way of teaching and was re-named Loreto High School, associating with the prestigious name of the Loreto Sisters who have run schools all over the world for 150 years. The Loreto Mother General has approved of this use of their name. It is the official feeder High School for our Parish and you should give it a go if you are a prospective parent for here we have something new.
